InstaFriday

I can't believe how fast this week flew by! I had a Finance final on Wednesday, so the first half of my week was filled with nonstop studying :( Just 1 more week of summer school! Hallelujah! PTL.

Speaking of how fast time flies, I can't believe it's already August. It seems like just yesterday summer started, and now it's coming to a close. I feel like I wanted to do so much this summer, but never really had time to do it all. Such is life though. I'm getting excited for this school year! It'll be a busy one for sure, but in just about 9 months, I will be walking the stage to graduate. How bizarre is that?!

I thought yesterday was going to be a terrible day (spoiler alert: it turned out to be a great day). I didn't feel so hot and the night before last, my car wouldn't start. Naturally, I panicked because 1. I've never had a car problem before and 2. My parents are 150 miles away. I can put on my big girl panties and figure things out 99% of the time, but cars are just a foreign topic for me. I know absolutely nothing about them. So I prayed for a miracle and the next morning went out to see if it'd start. It did, buttttt I was afraid to turn it off, so I drove to an auto shop to see what was wrong. Turns out my battery was about to bite the dust, so I had to have them replace it.. which sucked. They told me it was going to take about 45 minutes. My only options to occupy my time were: to wander around Advanced Auto Parts, shop at the only store nearby, Ross, orrrr sit in the scorching heat of my car. I'm sure I was really pleasant to be around yesterday morning.

After a new battery and a new attitude, I went and visited my old boss/friend, Brittany at How Do You Roll?, where I interned last semester. I had such a great experience there.. my next internship has some big shoes to fill! It was fun to catch up with her and see what big changes were happening around the office. It's so crazy what can happen in two short months.

On my drive home (prime thinking time), I got to thinking about stuff and how lucky I am to live the life I do. God has blessed me tremendously. I have such an amazing and supportive family, friends I can't live without, TWO beautiful places I can call home, a great education, and such a bright future ahead of me. I'm happy. I'm healthy. And though things don't always go the way I want, my life is so so good.

Ps. Steve just had back surgery, so a prayer for a quick recovery would be much appreciated!

Since I've been so busy this week, I only had time to Instagram two pictures:

I've been into layering bracelets lately and I absolutely love my "LOVE" bracelet from Francesca's.

One of the perks of being an intern at HDYR? was that my boss hooked me up with a bunch of free sushi roll cards. I'm pretty finicky when it comes to seafood, so I fill my sushi with chicken instead of fish. That's one of the best things about How Do You Roll?.. you can put whatever you want in your roll! Consider it the Subway of sushi :) In this roll, I have cream cheese, jalapeno, cucumber, and chicken, topped with crunch and teriyaki sauce. Yummmm.
